PERFORMANCE PARTS

There are many performance parts available for the Integrale, by its very breeding it follows that there were all the necessary parts available to turn a road car into a full Group A rally machine. Today many of these parts are becoming very hard to find and although homolagation of the Evolution cars now takes it through to the year 2000 giving the existing Group A cars a new lease of life, there is not much demand for building new rally cars. For this reason some of the more specialist parts such as Kevlar drive shafts and competition quality suspension parts are available only from the stock shelves of the top rally teams.

Although most Integrale owners neither want or need such expensive components, there are a few areas where the car can be changed to take full advantage of the car's potential. After several years of assisting customers to modify their cars and in many cases, to undo modifications that are not suitable to road use, we offer here, our advice as to what has been found to give good value and thus what parts we keep in stock.

K&N Air filter (All Models) £40.20
By fitting a K&N filter into the standard air box a small increase in throttle response is achieved, there is a side benefit, because the filter is recleanable it will last three times as long as the original.

Sports exhausts from OMP suitable for road use.
8V&16V rear Exhaust box (2 tail pipes) £130.48
8V&16V Centre and rear exhaust Group N,
(1 tail pipe)
£151.86
Centre and rear exhaust Evo I Group N £176.14
Centre and rear exhaust Evo II Cat Group N £204.05
These exhausts are all designed to improve the gas flow and allow the turbo to operate more efficiently.
The replacement centre pipes replace the centre silencer box or catalytic convertor, these systems sound more meaningful than the standard system without being too loud. Max allowed in Group N is 98 db.

Brake parts
Stainless steel braided brake hoses Evo £51.06
These hoses give a much improved pedal feel compared to the standard rubber hoses.

OMP Brake Discs
HF 4WD front discs, drilled and grooved (pair) £111.64
8V & 16V front discs, drilled and grooved (pair) £171.69
Evolution front discs, drilled and grooved (pair) £257.58
Evolution rear discs, drilled and grooved (pair) £111.51
The drilling and grooving improves the brake systems resistance to fade under hard use, certainly a requirement for cars with upgraded engine power.

Ferodo 451 brake pads
4WD front brake pads Ferodo 451 £63.20
8V & 16V front brake pads Ferodo 451 £94.71
8V & 16V rear brake pads Ferado 451 £45.23
Evo front pads Ferodo 451 £96.74
Evo rear pads Ferodo 451 £50.26
Ferodo 451 pads give greatly improved stopping power and can be used with standard or uprated discs. Unlike many performance brake pads these work when cold.

Eibach Spring Kit (lowers 20mm and stiffens) £122.03
For most owners this is the suspension upgrade to make, the spring rate is not so high as to make the ride too hard for road use and the lowering of the roll centre assists the driver in fast road work or the occasional track event.

Shock absorbers / suspension struts.
For most owners the original fitment is hard to improve on, however there a number of owners who wish to use there cars for mild Motor Sport such as Track Days, Sprints or HiIlclimbs when it can be advantageous to run a higher damper rate.

We have experienced problems over the years with adjustable shock absorbers fitted to customers cars and indeed even our own. The most commonly fitted aftermarket strut is found to give a ride that is hard to suffer for any distance when set on their softest settings, it is very rare to find them adjusted up any harder as the ride becomes unfit for human occupation even on highways. We have been asked to replace many of these units with original equipment after owners have decided that they cannot live with these ride characteristics.

For the above reason, in partnership with Leda Suspension Ltd. we developed a set of struts suitable for road and track use, in the softest settings they are the same or even softer than the original and with the adjustment available they can be set up for most motor sport activities, indeed we have been running them on our rally car on the forest sections during development. We have selected a Spring rate suitable for road and track but stiffer springs are available.

Leda Suspension struts feature:
Adjustable bump and rebound settings available via a 24 position knob (no special tools required).
The struts are supplied threaded externally, allowing the ride height to be set to your own personal taste by means of the adjustable spring platform.
The legs are made of quality steel tubing, zinc plated to resist corrosion.
The piston rods are made of nickel chromium molybdenum case hardened steel. Specially blended fully synthetic oil is used allowing higher working temperature without fade characteristics.
Rising rate characteristic as piston speed increases.
There is a 3:1 Bump to Rebound ratio through the adjustable range.
The units are fully rebuildable at nominal costs, saving on future replacement costs.

8V &16V Integrale front struts and springs (each) £228.50
8V &1BV Integrale rear struts and springs (each) £228.50
Evolution front struts and springs (each) £228.50
Evolution rear struts and springs (each) £228.50

Please Note:
These struts are built to order and would normally take 4 weeks from order to delivery.

Engine Power Upgrades
Chips/Eproms and things
8V (non Catalytic) Exchange Computer £195.00
Expected power increase 225 BHP 280 ft/lbs torque

16V and Evolution I
We able to offer an Eprom that gives a very fast flexible road car, the turbo starts to boost at 2600 RPM and is at full boost by 3000 RPM. Power increased to approximately 270BHP with 300ft/lbs torque depending on engine and turbo condition. The Eprom can be fitted on its own but the low down torque is not as good. Above 280 BHP the engine requires considerable work to enable it to survive the stress.
Eprom £300.00
TurboWaste gate actuator £98.00
Fitting of actuator £140.00

Evolution II (Catalytic)
The Eprom available for the Catalitic cars is not able to perform as well as the the above owing to the fact that the engine management system is trying to remain 'Green" and does its best to restrain us. The power available is only slightly less than the non Catalitic car with good torque, but power drops off at high revs owing to the smaller turbo's characteristics. Increases of up to 260-270BHP is achievable.
Eprom £240.00
Turbo Waste gate actuator £98.00
Fitting of actuator £140.00

Clutches
Having uprated your engine power it may now appear that the clutch is feeling its age, or you have been unable to resist making a record breaking attempt at the 0-60 record, both may result in a slipping clutch.

Do not fit a paddle clutch for road use, they are not nice to use in traffic due to plate judder when you try to slip them, they are designed to be in or out as used in rallying. A high clamp load clutch cover overcomes most problems for the harder user. Fitting a sintered centre plate will assist those who give their clutches a hard time and they will give the clutch a longer life.
Clutch cover £ 240.00
Spinner/centre plate £85.00
Sintered spinner/centre plate £135.00
Clutch release bearing £34.75
Group A engines
For Customers requiring that little bit extra we are able to offer:
Group A 16V engines giving up to 340BHP and still suitable for road use.
With Forged Pistons it is possible to modify and build an engine to handle this power.
